To add Cyral protection to a data repository, follow these steps:
- In the Cyral Control Plane UI, create an entry for your data repository in Cyral's inventory, the Repositories list.
- Deploy the Cyral sidecar that will intercept all traffic to and from the data repository. You can create a deploy template in the Sidecar tab of the UI and then deploy using your orchestation tool such as Cloudformation or Helm3.
- Assign your data repository to the sidecar. In the Sidecar tab, select the sidecar to which you'd like to assign the repository and click the corresponding arrow to reveal additional configuration options for the sidecar. Then, select Assign a Repository. In the pop-up dialog, select your repository and click Track.
